Dongchungdang Confucian Academy 동춘당 东春堂

Dongchundang was built in Chosun dynasty of King Hyojong, by Dongchundang Song Jun-Gil when he was 48 years old in 1653. It is now located in SongChondong Dongchundang Park in Daejeon, and it is one of the nationally chosen cultural assets in Korea. It is named after the Chinese characters that signify "Always spring", which is also the pseudonym of Song Jun-Gil. The building itself was built by Song, Yi-Chang, father of Song Jun-Gil, and Song Jun-Gil himself used the same wood to rebuild the same one that was located east to the original location, which is the location now.


Dongchungdang Confucian Academy is located in Daeduk-Gu, Songchondong in Daejeon.
