KAIST is an international institution with all instruction in English for both undergraduate and graduate studies. The University’s 400-strong faculty conducts internationally recognized research in cooperation with academic institutions and industries all over the world. The University has in recent years been recruiting distinguished scholars from overseas.

KAIST Information Communications College (KAIST ICC)--formally known as ICU--
Founded by a collation of the Ministry of Information and Communication, ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) and leading Korean IT companies such as SK and Samsung in 1997, ICU added an undergraduate program in 2002 and has continued to expand its global presence. The ICU-Samsung Joint Research Center is the only such program run by Samsung Electronics with a university in Korea.
